An online LPN course is only there to help you. They are for the general education portions of the training. Courses like anatomy, physiology and english can be done online. But to become a licensed LPN/LVN you will have to get your hands dirty and complete clinical training.
Every state in America mandates that all practical and vocational nurses must be licensed to be employed.

Licensing/NCLEX

What it Takes to get Licensed to Become an LPN/LVN

Once you have completed your state or nationally approved LPN training program, you are then eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination, also known as the NCLEX-PN.

Every state has a mandate that says that every aspiring practical or vocational nurse must pass the NCLEX-PN exam to get a license and also to be eligible to work as an LPN or LVN in that state. So the steps are:

  • Submit your application for licensure to the state board of nursing or the applicable regulating body
